Mission and Outreach

We support several charities abroad. The principal of these currently are in South India, Kenya and Belarus.

South India

Through our good friends, Jasmine and Jacob Devadason, we support the India New Hope and New Life Trust, which works to prevent the poverty, marginalisation and untouchability of the Dalit community. This charity provides education and, in recent years, a home for 97 children who are orphaned or from impoverished families, some of the children have been rescued from child labour.

Kenya

Church members have made several trips to Kenya to work in the St Stephen's Children's Home to house and educate orphans. The charity also helps to feed and care for the street children who have nothing and no-one. In January 2007, a further visit to Kenya was undertaken to help with improvements at the orphanage.

Belarus

Church members have hosted holidays for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster of 1986. Subsequently, they have raised money to pay for medicines and vitamin supplements to boost the children's health. This is an ongoing project.
